Dr. Eunji Park (Piano)
Dr. Eunji Park has appeared as a performer, educator and adjudicator. She holds a D.M.A. and
M.M. in piano performance from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. She
has performed in a variety of recitals throughout the United States, Italy, and South Korea. She
featured as a soloist with Sinfonia Perugia Orchestra in Italy, and performed as a guest artist at
Carnegie Hall. She performed at the Summer Music Festival in New Jersey, the Music Naturally
Summer Festival in Pennsylvania, and the Perugia International Music Festival in Italy. She
joined the Cosmopolitan Clavier and Piano Extravaganza and has given numerous piano recitals
in the Washington D.C Metro area. She was a piano faculty at Montgomery College (WD&CE)
in USA and Chadwick International School in South Korea. She also has been associated with
prominent music institutions and a thriving private piano studio in Maryland and Virginia, where
many of her students are prize winners in piano competitions. Currently, she is an active member
and adjudicator of MTNA, NVMTA, MSMTA, NGPT and she is serving as a chair of AMMA
Academic Assessment Exam and YMIC Artistic Committee.
Dr. Grace Liu (Piano)
Grace Liu is a Taiwanese-American pianist who performs as a soloist and collaborative pianist in
the U.S. and Taiwan, “impressing [audiences] with her finesse and sensitivity” (Orange County
Register). She is the recipient of the Pauline Favin Memorial Award in Piano and the Clara
Ascherfel Accompanying Award at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in
Baltimore. She was also a finalist and recitalist at the Wonderlic Piano Competition and Schlern
International Music Competition. As concerto soloist, she has also featured with the UC Irvine
Symphony as the winner of the concerto competition.
Dr. Liu has been invited to participate in numerous international music festivals, including the
Banff Piano Masterclass (Canada), Bowdoin International Music Festival (ME), Beethoven
Institute (NY), and Schlern International Music Festival (Italy). She has also participated in
master classes taught by Leon Fleisher, Menahem Pressler, Boris Berman, John Perry, Stephen
Hough, as well as the Jupiter and Takacs Quartet.
A dedicated teacher, Dr. Liu currently holds faculty positions at Peabody Preparatory and the
Levine School, and she maintains a private studio.
Dr. Liu earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Institute, where she also
received her Master of Music degree in piano performance. She completed her Bachelor of
Music degree at University of California, Irvine. Her major teachers include Alexander
Shtarkman, Lorna Griffitt, Rose Hsin-I Chen, and Daniel Hanley.
Dr. Marjory Serrano-Coyer (String)
Dr. Marjory Serrano-Coyer is a distinguished Venezuelan violinist, renowned for her robust
orchestral career. Starting at age 7 in Venezuela's "El Sistema" program with Ismenia Molina, she
extensively trained under renowned instructors such as Maestros Jose Francisco del Castillo,
Sergio Celis, Luis Miguel Gonzalez, Pablo Vazquez, and Williams Naranjo. Pursuing advanced
studies in the U.S., she earned an MA in Violin Performance and an Artist Diploma at
Shenandoah Conservatory, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at Catholic
University of America, specializing in Latin American music.
Dr. Serrano-Coyer has performed internationally under illustrious conductors like Larry
Livingston and Lorin Maazel, gracing prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in New York
City and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Her expertise extends to master classes with
music greats such as Midori and Anne Akiko Meyers.
An active educator and performer, she has lectured and participated in orchestral festivals across
Latin America, Europe, and the United States, contributing significantly to the classical music
landscape. Her recent album, "Sonatas Venezolanas," highlights historically significant
Venezuelan works, showcasing her dedication to her musical heritage. Dr. Serrano-Coyer
continues to be a prominent figure in orchestral performance and music education worldwide.
Dr. Jihoon Chang (Woodwinds)
Clarinetist JIHOON CHANG was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to the United States in
St. Louis metropolitan area in 1976. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music performance from
the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, master’s degree from the Eastman School of
Music, and DMA degree was completed at the University of Maryland in College Park in 2010.
With “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, he performed a transcription of
Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto on their extensive 7-week national concert tour. And in 2008, he
performed John Williams’ “The Tale of Viktor Navorski” from The Terminal, with the composer
conducting in a gala 210 th anniversary concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Before he retired from the “President’s Own” in 2016, he gave a world premiere performance of
Eric P. Mandat’s “Parallel Histories” at the Capitol grounds and the Sylvan Theater by the
Washington Monument.
In 2010-2015, he was Professor of Clarinet at Howard University and is currently Professor of
Clarinet and Saxophone at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He is also currently Principal
Clarinet with the Washington Chamber Orchestra.
